So close…………. Only this last school week and afterwards, we like to enjoy our holiday !!! Group 8 will say good bye tonight with their farewell musical. Tomorrow, the group will come to school to say their final good byes. On 9th July, they will have the day off. (it goes without saying that they are welcome to help us out any time) For everyone else, the last day will be Thursday and the holiday will start on Friday 10th July. We would like to wish everyone a nice holiday and hope to see everyone again after the school holiday in good health.
Wednesday, the children will all receive their report cards, in which the teacher enclosed a number of tips to keep on practicing the children’s reading skills. Reading library books are just fine but a number of nice magazines are available at the library and let us not forget the nice books the children can listen to. Those books are really nice to listen to and to get acquainted with the story. Being read to is very important for your child’s development. Children really enjoy the illustrations. In the meantime, they broaden their horizon with knowledge, enlarge their vocabulary and improve their language skills. This way, they make sure they lay the basics for the future.
Sometimes the teacher mentioned in your child´s report card that he or she should keep on practicing his or her arithmetic’s skills. Keep in mind that it is possible to play educational games). Board games, for instance, help counting in a playful way. Many games are also available for language skills. And of course there are many applications available for iPad or tablet computer. These are always nice to do on the days that are not that sunny.

Infants
The children really enjoyed their special way to go to group 3 (ludieke overgang)!! Children of group 2 met their future group 3 teacher.
Report cards
All children received their report cards on Wednesday 8th July! The teacher discussed the report cards with the children first and gave it to show at home. Please remember to return the report cards after the holiday with the (new) teacher.
Swimming
Children of groups 5 and 6 will be joining in school swimming again, for which we would like to ask now already ”who would be willing to go with them as a guide?” We hope that a number of parents will be able to, so we will be able to make a schedule. All lessons will be provided for on Monday mornings. The first lesson will be on Monday 31st August next. We like to thank you in advance.
Lunch cards
Lunch cards can be bought with Ms Hanny, but it would really be nice if you could do your payment through our school bank account, using NL65ABNA0580598128, remember to mention your child´s name, his or her group and mention that it is for the purchase of a lunch card (overblijfkaart) Thank you in advance.

UKKEPUKKIES News
We all enjoyed a wonderful day on juffendag! We had such nice weather, the children had a nice morning and we received lots of help of many parents. We would like to thank parents and the children for their beautiful gifts. We feel highly appreciated!
First aid for children (Kinder EHBO) On 29th September we like to take care of a class on first aid on children for parents of children attending the groups spelenderwijs or Ukkepukkies. A maximum of 20 persons can apply, meaning that we only have place for 5 parents of every group. We only have a couple of places left, please check the list if you can still join. Once the list is full, we will create a spare list, contact one of the teachers if that is the case and you want your name on that list.
Thank you!
During the past school year we asked for your help a number of times. We really appreciated it that you made an effort to help us out as much as you could. We are aware that this takes some extra effort to get this going, for which we like to thank you. Co-operation between parents and teachers is very important! This way, we like to make sure your child gets used to going to school once your child becomes 4 years old. We will continue with our parental activities during the next year as well. It goes without saying that we hope you will be joining in the activities for parents like you did during last year. For now, we like to wish you a nice holiday and hope to welcome you again on Tuesday 25th August.
Spelenderwijs
The group Spelenderwijs liked to close off the last week in a nice manner on the beach with children and their parents. We hope you enjoyed gathering in the group and walked to the beach together. After the holiday, we hope to see both children and their parents again on Wednesday 26th August.
Kind regards,
Ms Wilma, Ms Enny, Ms Carola, Ms Jeana, Ms Stephanie and Ms Marjolijn
