Final tests for CITO Today will be the last day! Therefore, we will have a reward for our group 8 today; we will enjoy bowling and will be having dinner (steengrillen) afterwards. We hope they have fun!
Circus Kristal Yesterday, you received a letter regarding the circus and we also sent a letter meant for hulpouders.
According to the weather forecast all activities will be inside; but let’s not let that spoil the fun! We will start in the groups at 8.30am as usual. If you can still help out at the last minute, please know that you are welcome to come by on Monday 25th April at 9am in the team room. The place where people of the circus will be explaining what you need to do. We work with the regular school hours. So the school will be off at the regular hour (perhaps with a few minutes’ delay)
School photographer on Tuesday 26th April, for children attending Oranjeschool and siblings. After school hours it will be possible to take pictures with brothers and sisters who do not attend our school. The lists for registration will be ready; please make sure that the time table does not have large gaps, since the photographer does not have too much time to wait for children to take pictures. (for brothers and sisters attending our school, they will take pictures together during the day). The photoghrapher will use a background that looks like old wood. (A spile)
School trip You received a letter for this as well. For now, the weather forecast is not so nice. Even though, at the moment, the sun is shining quite a lot. But, who knows, we keep the fingers crossed… for a dry day!
Payments are coming in. That is nice! We do appreciate payment for the trip through our school bank account (NL65ABNA0580598128), otherwhise in cash and with exact money at the management office. Please remember to have the ooievaarspas scanned at our school administration.
Skills for Kids the lessons for next week have all been cancelled due to the circus activities and the school trip.
Bicycle exams group 7
We are also looking for parents who will be able to ride along as guide on Monday 30th May for the official exams; we would like to leave around 2.15pm and hope to be back between 3.15pm and 3.30pm. We would like to thank you in advance.
Homework guidance For group 8, we will no longer have homework guidance. Group 7 will still do this until end of May.
Bicycles; The children of groups 7 and 8 need to use the bicycle racks next to the gymnastics hall. Please make sure that the bikes that are being parked on the large school yard are placed in the racks correctly.
Calling
We would like to draw your attention to call every day, preferably before school starts or soon as possible when your child is ill. When he or she has to visit a GP or other doctor, please make sure the teacher receives a copy of your appointment. Thank you.
Lunch hour and payments
Lunch cards are still available with Ms Hanny every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We really appreciate it when you make payments through your bank account using NL65ABNA0580598128. Please remember to mention your child’s name, group and of course that the amount is meant for overblijf. It is cheaper to pay for the entire year; for bovenbouw this will be an amount of €180.00 and for onderbouw €140.00. For 6 months the amounts will be €90.00 and €70.00. It is no longer possible to pay for one separate time. A card of, for instance €5.00, will not lose its value for quite some time. When you paid for the entire year or for 6 months, we will inform the teacher. The teacher will also let you know until when the payments are due. In case of a giant arrear in payments we will inform you through a letter that you need to wipe off the arrears before your child could spend its lunch hour at school again.
Measuring and weighing
Our school will participate in the project Meten and Wegen (Measuring & Weighing). For this project,
every child will be weighed and measured separately, during the gymnastics lessons in their gym clothes. This information will be treated confidentially. By the measurements, the teacher could help out children that might need extra help getting or keeping a healthy weight. Participation in the project is voluntary. Should you object to your child participating in the project, please inform your child’s group teacher through a signed letter. We hope that many children will be participating in the project.

Lost and found items
At the gymnastics hall a number of items are left behind; for instance jackets, bags, socks, gymnastics shoes and many more items. Please make sure you pick up the items belonging to your child(ren). Items that have not been picked up yet will be dropped off at the charity for clothes. (kledingbank or the Red Cross)
Bingo- super nice
On 2nd May at Trefpunt, starting at 2.30pm (doors open at 1pm) Entrance fee for children €2 and for adults €4.
Music camp Solleveld Are you busy during the first week of your school holiday? (Between 11 and 15 July 2016) If not, do not hesitate to join for Solleveld’s music camp kamp for children of ages between 7 and 13 years. Surprising, fun and affordable. An adventure for you to experience. In 5 days we will introduce you with music and experimenting with that, dancing and singing outdoors. We also play games, are active in sports and explore the creativity. Location: camping site Solleveld. Located at Monsterseweg (close to Kijkduin). This site has big tents. This is a day camp, so children can be brought daily between 8.30am and 9.30am and can be picked up between 4.30pm and 5.00pm. The charges for this camp will be €85.00 per child for one week. De Ukkepukkies
As of Monday 4th April we have started preparing the theme called Eet Smakelijk. A theme in which the children learn all about food. The corners will be changed in this theme, for instance the huishoek will be turned into a restaurant and the atelier will become a shop.

In week 15 we want to plan the 10 minute conversations with parents. Lists for registration will be hung up at the group doors.
Tuesday 24th May, the play groups will be closed in the morning; the teachers will be busy doing a course in the morning, and in the afternoon, the play groups will be open as usual.
Wednesday 1st June, the playgroups will also be closed on account of a course the teachers will be doing.
