Parking/ picking up and bringing your child
When picking up your child(ren) or bringing them the school, please make sure to park your car safely and bring or pick up your child afterwards. At the moment, we receive complaints from the neighbors that many cars are being left in the street or even on sidewalks creating obstacles for traffic but for our other (small) children as well. For the neigbors it must be irritating to not being able to leave the house with a pram or even rollator in a safe way. We do count on your co-operation.
CPC
We have registered the Oranjeschool to join in for CITYPIERCITY walk, held on Sunday 6th March 2016. Before next Monday you will receive information and we hope that many children (and some of their parents) will be able to join in. The distances will be: the Ernst and Bobbie walk for 1 km and the youth walk for 2.5 km for children of groups 5-8.
Bicycles could children of groups 7 and 8 please leave their bicycles in the bicycle racks next to the gymnastics hall, thank you in advance.
Klassenouders We would like to invite all klassenouders for additional information on Thursday 21st January at 3pm If you handed in a strip (of the letter) or talked to the teacher that you were interested please feel free to come by. Should you still have doubts do not hesitate to come any way, who knows, perhaps you like the idea of starting the year fresh and do something extra for your child’s school.
important
In group 5 a child was reported ill with impetigo, which is contageous. Should you see any red spots combined with lots of itching, please make sure your child sees a GP. With antibiotics this will be over in no-time. Another disease has also been reported, called shingles. Fortunately, the children have not been tortured with head lice for a while, with the last check no nits or lice had been found with the children. Thanks for the checks.
Please call every day when your child(ren) is (are) ill and make sure the teacher or the administration receives a copy of your appointment for GP, dentist or other doctor. Thank you for your co-operation.
Lunch hour and payments
Lunch cards are still available with Ms Hanny on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. It is also possible to make payments through your bank account using NL65ABNA0580598128. Please remember to mention your child’s name, group and of course that the amount is for overblijf. It is cheaper to pay for the entire year; for bovenbouw this will be an amount of €180.00 and for onderbouw €140.00. For 6 months the amounts will be €90.00 and €70.00.
It is no longer possible to pay for one separate time. A card of, for instance €5.00, will not loose its value for quite some time. When you paid for the entire year or for 6 months, we will inform the teacher. The teacher will also let you know until when the payments are due (in case of the payment for 6 months). In case of a giant arrear in payments we will inform you through a letter that you need to wipe off the arrears before your child could spend its lunch hour at school again.
Parental fee:
The parental fee (Oranjeschool) is still an amount of €32.50. Please make sure this amount has been paid for, since we use it to pay for the additional activities our school offered the children with help of our enthusiast Ouderraad. (Many thanks for decorating our school) The past few weeks have been rather expensive, for school as well. The presents and Christmas dinner. Therefore, we like to ask you to pay the parental fee! The money is being used to make sure all children receive all of the above mentioned. The parental fee and payments for transport to the swimming pool can also be paid for by having the Ooievaarspas scanned at our school administration. This is possible every day, except for Wednesday.

UKKEPUKKIES
First of all, we would like to wish a all a happy new year! We hope you were able to enjoy nice holidays. We would like to start fresh at the Ukkepukkies at a new year and this week we have started with a new and joint theme called “What are wearing today?” (Wat heb je aan vandaag?) During the next few weeks we will be working on the theme together with the infants. We will pay the infants a visit and our toddlers will sing a song. A new song that we learn, therefore, we added the lyrics. We have the lyrics in our group and learn them in the group. When you hear your child singing you could then sing along.
We will also have the familiar activities for spelinloop. In the hall at our white board we will announce the schedule. Please make note of it when we do have the activities for spelinloop.
Dag meneer de sneeuwman, Waar kom je vandaan? Dag meneer de sneeuwman, Blijf maar staan. Hier is een bezem, een stok en een hoed, Dag meneer de sneeuwman, Het staat je goed!
We are hoping for a nice theme and want to learn of it and like to see the children becoming aware of what they or someone else is wearing. When to wear warm and when to wear lighter clothes. What are warm or lighter clothes? Will you also talk about this at home with your child?
Spelinloop activity of 4th January until spring holiday (19th February)
Theme called what are you wearing today? Tuesday 5th January for all groups. Wednesday 13th January for the red group. Friday, 15 January for the blue and yellow group. In the week of 18th January, we will not have any activity for spelinloop on account of a joint activity with the infants. de kleuters.
Thursday 28th January, for all groups. Theme art! Monday 1st February for all groups. Tuesday 9th February for all groups. Thursday 18th February for all groups.
Hoeray, I will be 4! We have set a new date for the parental meeting Hoera, ik word 4! The meeting for parents of children who will soon be 4 (or have just reached the age of 4 years old). Invitations for the meeting had been sent to the home addresses (or by e-mail) The meeting will be held on Monday evening 11th January. We will be receiving you in the Oranjeschool lobby at 6.30pm.
