OranjeGezinsdienst
School and family service
It was so nice to see so many familiar faces!
Final CITO tests Group 8 will start on Tuesday 19th April and their final day will be 21st April. We like to wish our group 8 children lots of luck and hope for nice scores, for yourselves but for Oranjeschool as well. Make sure you sleep nicely so you appear at school well rested. That is the best preparation. All the best!
Found At the school yard, we found a phone and a set of keys. Contact our school management for additional information.
Friday 22nd April we will not join with Koningsspelen, but instead, we will have a circus with the children at school on 25th April.
Would it be possible for you to help us out???
Circus Kristal Monday 25th April, we will have circus Kristal at our school. That day, we will have a circus performance at our school. And by whom? The children of Oranjeschool will practice with people of that circus and will be able to do their performance in the afternoon. That will not be possible without any help. We could use extra hands of parents or grandparents to assist us with practicing or for handing out snacks or setting them out for the person who will be handing out the snacks. If you would be able to help us out please let us know as soon as possible through your child’s group teacher and this way would also like klassenouders to help out finding extra parents who would like to help out.
School photographer will come to school on Tuesday 26th April next for all children and brothers and sisters as well.
After school hours it will be possible to take pictures of the children with brothers and sisters who do not attend Oranjeschool. The lists for the photographer will be ready for you in the course of next week. Please make sure you fill in the list with short breaks in between only, since the photographer does not have the time to wait. (Brothers and sisters who are at our school, will have their picture taken during school hours)
Annual school trip
It is good to see that payments are being made. By now, the teachers know how many guides they still need. Every group teacher will take a closer look at the guides who will be able to join. When more parents apply for guidance, the teacher will pick names at random. Guides joining with groups 4-8 will pay €12.50 for Duinrell and guides joining for Lineaushof will pay €12 (groups 1-3)
We do appreciate it when you use our school bank account for payments for the children with your child’s name and group. Account number NL65ABNA0580598128 (otherwise, please make sure to have the exact amount and pay at the management’s office – with Ms Janneke or Ms Lidia)
In case of Ooievaarspas it is a necessity that the pass has been scanned at our school administration.
Group 7
Our group 7 teacher Debby is looking for parents who would be willing to ride along as guide to practice the bicycle exams on Tuesday 19th April in the afternoon. By now, we only have 2 parents, which is not enough. Please, if you do have time inform the teacher that you are available.
We will leave school around 12.30pm and hope to be back by 2pm.
We are also looking for parents who will be able to ride along as guide on Monday 30th May for the official exams; we would like to leave around 2.15pm and hope to be back between 3.15pm and 3.30pm. We would like to thank you in advance.
Bicycles; The children of groups 7 and 8 need to use the bicycle racks next to the gymnastics hall. Please make sure that the bikes that are being parked on the large school yard are placed in the racks correctly.
4 nights’walk (Avondvierdaagse)
Last week, you received a letter with additional information on the 4 nights’walk. Applications are possible according to the schedule, with Ms Ilse until Thursday 21st April. Will you join as well?
Calling
We would like to draw your attention to call every day, preferably before school starts or soon as possible when your child is ill. When he or she has to visit a GP or other doctor, please make sure the teacher receives a copy of your appointment. Thank you.
Lunch hour and payments
Lunch cards are still available with Ms Hanny on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. It is also possible to make payments through your bank account using NL65ABNA0580598128. Please remember to mention your child’s name, group and of course that the amount is meant for overblijf. It is cheaper to pay for the entire year; for bovenbouw this will be an amount of €180.00 and for onderbouw €140.00. For 6 months the amounts will be €90.00 and €70.00. It is no longer possible to pay for one separate time. A card of, for instance €5.00, will not lose its value for quite some time. When you paid for the entire year or for 6 months, we will inform the teacher. The teacher will also let you know until when the payments are due. In case of a giant arrear in payments we will inform you through a letter that you need to wipe off the arrears before your child could spend its lunch hour at school again.
Measuring and weighing
Our school will participate in the project Meten and Wegen (Measuring & Weighing). For this project,
every child will be weighed and measured separately, during the gymnastics lessons in their gym clothes. This information will be treated confidentially. By the measurements, the teacher could help out children that might need extra help getting or keeping a healthy weight. Participation in the project is voluntary. Should you object to your child participating in the project, please inform your child’s group teacher through a signed letter. We hope that many children will be participating in the project.
Klassenouders
After the meeting, we have started working with klassenouders. This means, that a parent related to the group could ask you to help out organising an activity for the group, all to support the teacher. We still do not have a sufficient amount of group related parents. Are you still interested; please contact your child’s group teacher. The check for lice will be done by the parental council and or group related parent.
